The premier of ‘Paradise is Burning’ in Brussels last night, presented by @polarise_nordic_film_nights
The actors Bianca, Safira and Dilvin are young master actors. I have never seen such harmony on the screen as between the sisters in Paradise is Burning. It’s fresh, raw and beautiful. They are also true spokespersons and ambassadors for the film and for Swedish film in general. Very proud to have got to know them. Wow, what a ride!!
Firstly, we just want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who came to support this new production. We had the most incredible experience making this play, and we were even able to film it in a state of the art TV studio on campus!! We're hoping we'll be able to share this with you all soon and continue developing this story. Deven is the director of Äppelbokullan. It has always been on Deven's bucket list to direct a play, and she is thrilled to be making her directorial debut on this play! Alongside this, Deven has thoroughly enjoyed working in a handful of other positions on this play, and has especially enjoyed working on the graphic design elements. She can't wait to share this production with you all!
